Dr Una Coales BA (Hons) MD FRCS (General
Surgery) FRCS (ENT) DRCOG DFFP MRCGP PGCertMedEd is a practicing freelance GP,
the Royal Society of Medicine author of 11 best-selling medical revision books
and runs private MRCGP courses in London. She was the Primary Care Access
Support GP for the Lambeth PCT, gave live news commentaries (Sky, BBC3 and BBC
Radio 4) and promoted health education presenting Channel 4's Turn Back Your
Body Clock, Channel 9 Australia (2006), BBC America (USA), W Network Canada and
New Zealand in 2007. She is the Honorary Treasurer for the South London Faculty
Board of the RCGP (office term 2006-2009), elected member of the Lambeth Local
Medical Committee (2008) and nationally elected RCGP Council Member (term
2009-2012). She studied at The Johns Hopkins University (full academic
scholarship), accepted surgical residency at St Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital, NYC
(affiliated with Columbia University Medical School), and completed VTS with
the London Deanery. She has passed the National Board of Medical Examiners Exam
(USA), PLAB (GMC), FRCS (general surgery), FRCS (ENT surgery), DRCOG, DFFP and
